Sunday afternoon, long after my race, we headed up to Grandma and Grandpa McLane's for some pumpkin carving fun. Every year, we say we're going to carve our pumpkins and every year, we fail to accomplish our goal. This year we were determined!
Miles was a little disappointed that we washed the jack-o-lantern faces off from the night before. Though he looks super serious in this picture, he enjoyed scraping the guts out. It was an important job!
I saved the majority of the pumpkin seeds to roast at home. It has been a very long time since I've had roasted pumpkin seeds. My mom always roasted them after carving.
Ben, initially, chose a super complicated pattern for his pumpkin and changed his plan midstream. We all carved designs into our pumpkins instead of traditional jack-o-lantern faces.
Here they are, all lit up with battery powered tea lights!
Can you guess which pumpkin belongs to whom?
